A book I have recently been reading is, Lucky, by Cecily Von Ziegesar. This is my second blog on this book, and like I explained in my last blog, fire was set in a old building on campus, and now the principal is determined to find out who the culprit who started the fire is. The possible suspects are listed down, and now apart from their already complicated lives these teenagers have to play as innocent as possible, even the ones who are innocent. An eighth grade student named Chloe, a prospective who is getting to know the school before she comes next year, is being shown around the school by students who are also on the list of suspects for the fire. It just so happens that she is the Dean's niece, the one who chooses who is and isn't suspended from the school. The students are only just catching on to who this girl is, besides the sweet innocent 13 year old who is tagging along with them while they talk and gossip about the fire.
I think that the Dean has acknowledged this situation and has used his niece as an advantage. No one would suspect Chloe for secretly listening on to their conversations and using it as more then just a piece of gossip. These teens have the answers to what happened that night when the barn burned down, so Chloe and the information she has, and can get is precious to anyone who wants to find out the details of that night. I think that the dean planned this all out and is having Chloe report back to him with information from the list of suspects.
