I am currently reading Peace Love and Baby Ducks, by Lauren Myracle. This Book is about too sisters relationship and how it changes over the course of a year. Carly is one year older then Anna, a Freshmen in highschool. Now that its Anna's first year in high school everything has changed. Anna isnt the little middle school girl she used to be, but now a popular, attractive, and completely more matured girl then Carly new before she came back from summer break. Carly is not only astonished by this change in Anna, whom she always considered as her 'baby' sister. Carly has always been considered different from all the gorgeous holly redeemer girls who attend her school. She has never been one to fit in, in fact, usually trying to make her self different from the other girls. She thought when Anna came to HR it would be them against everything, but Anna seems to fit in with all the other girls.Carly is very much against this and slowly their relationship has been hitting more and more bumps in the road.
I think Carly is jealous of Anna. Who wouldn't be? If you were sisters with someone who was gorgeous, and popular, and you somehow ended up being the awkward friendless sister, how would that make you feel? I know I would feel really bad and at some point maybe even be frustrated at my sister for those qualities! Carly doesn't actually know why she's mad at Anna, she's confused, but I think that that is why she actually is mad, she just doesn't want to admit it.
