Getting Revenge On Lauren Wood

I recently just finished Getting Revenge on Lauren Wood, By ___. This Book is about a girl who is getting revenge on her former best friend, who used her at an attempt at being popular, hurting her reputation beyond repair. Helen, who moved away with her parents right after Lauren destroyed her social status, is forced to move back to New York. This time, she takes advantage of there four years she's been gone and her different appearance, and decides to come back to NY as a different person. Helen changes her name to Claire Dantes, and makes her self popular the second she walks in. Lauren Wood, is going down.

When Claire first walks into the school, she is popular from the first second. She has planed out her whole senior year in getting revenge on Lauren Wood, the most popular girl in school. What she doesn't expect is two people who will make her whole plan change. While she is pretending to be another person, making friends with people she wouldn't actually like, and not going off track, she meets two people that she can't help liking for who she really is. If she becomes friends with them and acts like herself around them, then Lauren will discover who she is, and her plan will go down in flames. This is a conflict that can relate to many other ones in the world. It fits with the saying 'a bump along the road'. This book also can relate to many chick flicks, this is a popular subject to have in movies and books. Trying to fit in with other people, even though you are a completely different person.

I think Claire should drop the plan and have the life she wants with the people she actually likes. What is there to gain by making Lauren's life miserable? People want to enjoy life and live them how they want, not spend them devoted to other peoples lives. This can connect to the world because i think it relates a lot to jobs people have. My dad, a long with many other people work really long shifts which take up most of their life. He spends his time working for other people, instead of spending time with his friends and family. Although working is a different matter because maybe you are obligated to work those hours, you can still cut down on the working.

Claire Dantes has a very interesting life, full of excitement, regret and pain. Although i wish she would continue with the life she wants, she is determined to fill her plan of getting revenge on Lauren wood. I think this book is a good read and it has edge to it. I also think it can connect to the world and my life  in many ways.
